Resetting the controller to factory settings without a password

As an administrator, you can reset the controller to default settings without a password in the following cases:

You have forgotten your password.
You have forgotten the IP-address.
You want to reset the network settings.

This function allows you to set up the controller to the latest installed firmware version with default settings. This includes the reset of the following data:

All application data and custom configuration will be removed.

All network settings will be reset.

The initial user with administration rights and all other users are reset.

The controller will be restarted.

To reset the device to factory settings without a password, it is necessary to start the controller in recovery mode.

Prerequisite
You have prepared a microSD card or a USB stick with only one partition. The partition has to be formatted as FAT32.
You have created a file, with the file name RECOVERY located on the microSD card or the USB stick.
The file must not have a file extension.
If you are using a USB stick, you have made sure that only one USB stick is connected.

Insert the microSD card or the USB stick into the controller.
Reboot the controller.
The controller is started in recovery mode.
Remove the microSD card or the USB stick.
If you forgot to remove the storage device, the controller will boot back into recovery mode again and again.
Open a browser.
In the address line, enter the default IP address of the device.
Update & installation is opened.
Click Reset.
Click Factory reset.

The controller will restart automatically.
