Copying devices

You can reuse a parmeterised device via copy and paste.

  1. In the device tree, navigate to the device you want to copy.
  2. Click ⋮
  3. In the context menu, select Copy.
  4. In the device tree, click on the device into which you want to paste the copy of the device.
  5. In the context menu, select Paste.

  6. If Paste is not displayed in the context menu, you cannot paste the device into this location.

  1. A copy of the device and its parameter settings is added to the end of the selected bus system. Where applicable, a new device address and a new instance name is generated for the copy.
