Changing the host name

You can change the host name to make it easier to identify the controller in your network.

We recommend to specify the host name when setting up the controller.

  1. Prerequisite
  2. You have the required rights to edit the network settings.
  3. You have opened the u-OS Control Center.
  1. Click Network & internet.
  2. In the host name dialogue, click Edit.
  3. A text box is opened.
  4. Enter the desired host name.

    The host name must fulfill the following requirements:

    1. Not be longer than 64 characters.
    2. Only contain letters in the form a-z or A-Z, digits from 0-9 and hyphens e.g. -.
    3. It must not start or end with a hyphen.
  6. Click Apply.
