Enabling the removable media update

Secure the device against unauthorised access when removable media updates are enabled. Keep update media in a safe place and disable removable media updates when they are not needed to minimise potential security risks.

When the removable media update is enabled, you cannot use HawkBit for updates. To use HawkBit for updates, disable the removable media update.

  1. You are logged in as administrator.
  2. You have opened the u-OS Control Center.
  1. Click Software & updates.
  2. In the section Removable media update, click Enable.
  3. Click Enable.
