Warning

The port for accessing PROCON-WEB Embedded Systems has changed. The new port is now 17443.
The system now communicates in encrypted form, i.e. via https instead of http.

The system can therefore be accessed at https://localhost:17443.

Access via the old port is no longer possible.

Features

  • 90501: Introduction of role-based user management. Details under User management.

  • 96643: Aligned the operating concept of the licensing mechanism. Activation and deactivation are now dialog-driven and accessible via separate entry points in the UI. Details can be found under Licensing with WIBU.

  • 117545: Clients can now be assigned to areas. This gives Embedded System another feature of the SCADA version of PROCON-WEB.

Fixes & Improvements

  • 120663: Fixed an issue that prevented the TIA v2 driver from importing offline in specific project configurations.

  • 121037: Fixed an issue that caused the TIA v2 driver to write WStrings incorrectly.

  • 119918: Fixed an issue that caused char arrays to not import correctly.

  • 117780: Fixed an issue that prevented client scripts from writing tags.

  • 109917: Numerous minor adjustments, fixes, and improvements.

Known Issues

  • Firmware bug in Siemens 1500 CPUs with firmware 4.0: Frequent connection and disconnection with the PLC visible in the event log. Fix via firmware update from v4.0.4 brings improvement, but does not completely resolve the issue. Further information can be found in the Siemens Release Notes. TIA drivers are therefore not currently approved for firmware v4.x.

  • The TIA V2 driver does not currently support importing fields from structures. Instead, the driver creates an element for each index.

  • The setup for Windows systems does not create a port share, which is why streaming does not work. Port 17443 must be manually enabled in the Windows Defender Firewall in the incoming rules under Windows.
