u-OS Datahub

Overview

PROCON-Connect offers a function for coupling with the u-OS Datahub. This allows, for example, data from the backplane bus of a u-OS-based control system to be included in the PROCON-Connect tag cache and processed further.

Coupling

PROCON-Connect must first be connected to the u-OS Datahub as a client. To do this, the following steps must be carried out:

  1. Open the u-OS Control Center app on u-OS.

  2. Open the Identity & access section in the menu on the left.

  3. Click on the submenu item Clients.

  4. Click on the Add client button.

  5. Assign a unique Client name.

  6. Activate datahub permission Read & write and Provide.

  7. Click on Add.

  8. Copy the Client secret from the following dialog.

  9. Use the Client secret in the clipboard to switch to PROCON-Connect - it is best to leave the u-OS Control Center open in parallel.

  10. In PROCON-Connect, switch to the u-OS Datahub app.

  11. Client Name, Client ID and Client Secret are transferred here from u-OS. All three values must be identical to the configuration in u-OS.

  12. Click the Save button. The connection is now established and the data is exchanged.
